How did it happen, and where is it going?
You must accept the consequences of following your convictions.
Burn me at the stake
Eat me alive
I may be wrong
And you may be right
This changes nothing.
I will not falter
Wobble, or alter my Self
Just to make it to heaven
So I can make daddy happy
Burn me at the stake
I will relish the flames

It's true: you all spring from the same roots, have the same history. But this does not make you the entire world. It does not mean you are all, presently, one singular being. Two siblings can be born to the same parents, and perhaps look similar, but this does not make them a singular being.
To look at another who is freezing to death while you have the most expensive furs enveloping your body and say to yourself, "We are one," does not ring true. If you believed this - really believed it - you wouldn't have bought those stupid furs in the first place.
The monks, so sage and so wise, trap themselves up on a mountain and ask for your labor so they may continue the glorious work of sitting in silence for days on end. The gurus with the mantras that can show you the truth require down payment and undying fealty. The priests, holding the keys to heaven tightly between their ass cheeks require child sacrifice, and unconditional discharge.
What in the fucking world makes you think these men - men just like you, with their perversions and their shortcomings - know something that you don't? That their eyes can see into special realms inaccessible to the villagers in the valley? This is the greatest illusion of all time, and many of you like to believe it so that you do not have to worry about finding your own path to salvation. You will work and toil and sweat into the soil, then hand over your harvest to the men in silk to assure a good life in the after. What of your life right now? What of the way you wish to die?
If you are all truly one being, why then do you suppose none of you can get along? Is it civil war? Schizophrenia? Try to answer. You cannot. So why do you go to war over these unanswerable things? The monks do not know. The gurus do not know. The priests do not know.
The moon and the sun and the stars know. The grass and the trees and the flowers know. The land and the sky and sea know. They ask for no labor, require no sacrifice, and do not ask you to look the other way. Look! See! See how I destroy, how I create and uncreate. See how I nourish and withhold. I am what I am. Accept me or don't. Truth is always true, just as death is always creeping just around the corner.
This is so profound, objectively, and to me personally. The Burning-at-the-Stake imagery makes me shiver because I think there is a good chance that's my fate in the next few years.
She really tells the truth here. I think there is a Christianity Wound, and even just a Religion Wound. On top of The Witch Wound, Mother Wound, Father Wound, etc.
